 MATCH INFO

Team News

Aleksandar Katai was FK Crvena Zvezda's top rated player from the group stage with two goals in three games but is ruled out here through injury.

Diego Falcinelli was their main striker in the group stage but Milan Pavkov has started their last couple in attack.

With a crucial derby to come at the weekend, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see AC Milan name a second string XI on Thursday.

Milan will surely look to give Zlatan Ibrahimovic maximum rest ahead of their meeting with Inter, which should see January arrival Mario Mandzukic make his full debut for the club.

Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori should get minutes on Thursday, while David Calabria should return to the fold after he was suspended at the weekend.

Sandro Tonali was back on the bench at the weekend after a short spell out injured to boost Milan's midfield options. Brahim Diaz is still sidelined.

January arrival Soualiho Meite should make his European debut on Thursday.

Prediction

FK Crvena Zvezda are inbeaten since October and have won 12 of their 15 matches since then.

AC Milan were handed a reality check at the weekend after losing 2-0 to minnows Spezia in Serie A.

After losing only three games across the whole of 2020, Milan have now lost four of their first 10 matches of 2021.

Should Milan choose to rotate heavily to keep their best players back for this weekend's top-of-the-table clash with Inter then there is a very good chance of an upset on Thursday.
